Ed studied engineering and architecture at McGill University in Montréal, Canada, earning degrees in both science and architecture. He is a Past President of AIA Vermont (the State Chapter of the American Institute of Architects), and has served on the Board of Directors of AIA New England, was the Chairman of the Vermont Licensing Board, and served as a Committee Member on the NCARB Architectural Licensing Examination Board in Washington, DC.
Ed has lectured nationally at the AIA National Convention, the A/E/C Systems Conferences, Build Boston, and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Ed also enjoys part-time work as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Professional Practice and Photography , at Norwich University. He has represented Vermont nationally at the AIA State and Governmental Affairs Round Table and served as Secretary/Treasurer of the New England New England Conference of Architectural Registration Boards (NECARB). Ed also worked closely with the late Professor Geoffrey Moore Langdon, AIA, mapping out and executing the annual Boston Society of Architects CAD CUP Design Events.
Ed was born in Montreal, and now lives in Burlington Vermont, with his wife, Sally, and has two great kids: Shana and Josh.
Ed's technical background has led to him developing skills in digital photography, and has a sizeable portfolio of sports, underwater, and architectural images.
A baseball fan since the days of Jarry Park in Montreal, Ed took his first photo of Rusty Staub in 1970, and hasn't stopped shooting baseball to this day.
A SCUBA Diving Instructor since the age of 19, Ed worked part-time in college at Aqua Vision Systems (now Aquatica) and continues to hone his underwater photo skills in the Caribbean and the Red Sea.
